Your attire can make a powerful impression on your interviewer. Follow these quick tips to ensure that your first impression is a positive one:

  • Your clothes should be clean, wrinkle free, and conservative.
  • Always err on the side of being too dressed up, if in doubt.
  • Wear a suit if you have one. Pair it with a long sleeved blouse or shirt and clean, polished shoes.
  • Make sure your hair is well-groomed and styled.
  • Keep perfume/cologne to a minimum.
  • Limit jewelry. Class rings and wedding rings are fine but keep other jewelry to a minimum.
  • Take out visible body piercings (eyebrow rings, nose rings, etc.).
